STATISTICS

According to IDC, over 30% of cell phone usage occurs indoors.  Yet the radio waves that supply these voice and data applications do not easily penetrate structures where the mobile user needs them.  Further, a study conducted by Harris Interactive®, in April 2005 entitled: The 2005 Telecommunications Report, concludes that:

•   10% have abandoned their landline and now use their cell     phone exclusively

•   52% of all adults are considering the switch within one year

•   13% cite coverage and signal issues as a barrier to switching

•   30% of those not considering a switch cite coverage and signal     improvements as a way to change their minds
